SikaBond PVA+

Description

SikaBond® PVA+ is a medium-viscosity, polyvinyl alcohol stabilized, externally plasticised vinyl acetate homopolymer designed for use in the building industry. It serves as a quick-drying general-purpose bonding agent, primer, and sealer for concrete and plaster, while also acting as a mortar improver and admixture for screeds and renders. The product is suitable as an adhesive for porous substrates such as wood, cork, paper, textiles, and cardboard, as well as a bonding agent for plaster, cement screeds, and renders on sound surfaces like concrete, stone, and brick. Additionally, it can be used as an internal filler when mixed with wood shavings or plaster. SikaBond® PVA+ improves adhesion, reduces surface porosity and dusting, enhances flexibility and frost resistance, allows thinner applications, and is quick-drying, with total solids of 32–37% and a Minimum Film Forming Temperature of -2 °C to +5 °C. It meets the bond strength requirements of BS 5270: Part 1:1989 and is classified as a D2 wood adhesive under EN 204:2016.

Shelf Life – 12 months from date of manufacture when stored according to manufacturer’s instructions in original, tightly closed containers.
Storage Conditions – Store in cool, dry conditions. Between +5 and +25 °C. Protect from frost. Storage outside these parameters will dramatically reduce shelf life
