It’s important to note that according to BS 5385-1, plywood and other wood-based sheets or boards are not suitable for direct tiling. Such timber-based sheets should either be replaced or covered with plasterboard or a suitable tile backer board before applying ARDEX WPC. Additionally, this coating can be applied to concrete floors and cement screeds to protect them from surface water ingress.
